My Treatment

Act 1
- Divorced women in her late 20’s / early 30s, unpacking boxes in new house.
- An old frail woman comes to the door and delivers the women a gift, which is a voodoo doll that she has made herself.
- The women dressed in bright clothes goes into the town to explore. There is no school because no children or younger women live in this town; this however is unknown to the women though everyone looks a bit distant and creepy. Main focus of the town is on a barn, in which they use as there place of worship, its old in appearance and is located in the centre of the town (replica of a nativity sequence).
- Whilst in the town she bumps into two male policemen who welcome her to the town and give her a gift of a red dress.

Act 2
- She goes back to her house and thinks she sees her ex husband go into the barn and thinks that either she was not seeing things correctly or that he is stalking her, which frightens her. Though unknown to her, her ex husband is in with the coven of the barn and therefore she was not seeing things. The woman begins to get signs of being pregnant but ignores them.
- Whilst in her house she begins to find various items; red veil, ring with weird engravings on it, voodoo doll but in a red baby-grow.
- The women’s sister comes to visit her but they agree to meet in the town though the women’s ex husband kills her on arrival.
- By the time the women has arrived and calls the policemen they come with a stretcher in the shape of a cross. They claim that they can’t get an ambulance up the road so insist she carries her sister on the cross up the cobbled road.

Act 3
- The woman goes to meeting in town hall (the barn), she arrives late for the meeting and when she enters all the town are singing a hymn but the words have been changed. They then begin to discuss problems about the town, but the problems are about the agriculture of the town. The person conducting the meeting always says to please the ‘lord’.
- During the meeting the women gets a nose bleed and the blood won’t stop gushing so she goes to the toilet. After being in the toilet she is wandering back to the hall when she passes a room and enters it by mistake. Inside the room are pictures of the women from when she is young, of her divorce and pictures of her in wedding dresses. On a TV also present in the room is a Childs nativity play which slowly morphs into people in the town in the nativity play. She gets scared and tries to escape but has to go back through the hall.
- When she enters the hall, it has been set up like the nativity play in the film. The policemen are the wise men; the Shepard had a red piece of material over his head but is in fact her ex husband, with him are dead sheep that are covered in blood and have red stained around there eyes. In the cradle there is a larger version of the voodoo doll that she has been previously given. The person who was constructing the meeting asks her to step in as Mary as they say the person usually there is not present. She says yes as she doesn’t want to look like she knows that they have been watching her and thinks about what is in the room at the back of the main barn space. She then runs away and jumps in her car and drives straight out of the village to her ex husbands house. When she arrives he is there dressed still as the Shepard.
- She tries again to escape but goes into labour and gives birth to a son. She dies in the process. The baby is laying on the floor still, opens its eyes and they are red.
